Paige Rowland, I think she is a fantastic actress. Playing Kit she was super with the lost sister plot and then with the Ryan & Braden rape story. The article on this site said that Kit was going to be Ryan's sister at first until they changed it around. Makes you wonder how that might have played out. Her chemistry was with Tad and Dimitri. Kit could have caused havoc for Tad and Dixie and she was fun to watch as a sort of bad character in the old days with Tad. This is a nice site and Paige is a fantastic actress. Paige Rowland's gripping performance in the Silk Stalkings episode "Elective Surgery" certainly goes down as one of her finest. Paige plays Alexis Mortinson, a woman seeking revenge on those responsible for causing a car accident which left her face disfigured. This performance is a real treat for Paige-fans as she creates a cold and menacing character - one who seduces, taunts, and paralyzes her victims before finally murdering them. So convincing is Paige in this role, that I actually found it difficult to watch some of the scary scenes. Great, great performance. But then what else would one expect from Paige Rowland?

Paige's work in the episode "Sea of Love" is right on the mark too, taking the cool, calm, and collected approach to playing the disturbed woman who murders a co-worker because she had slept with her boyfriend. Just the kind of understated, but compelling performance that the role had called for. When her character, Jean Sloan, states without flinching, "She got what she deserved. I'd kill her again if I had to " ....it was eerie! Wonderful work, as always, Paige Rowland! You are still batting 1000 with us - one good performance after another.

Allow me to express my disappointment with the dismissal of All My Children's Paige Rowland. Ms. Rowland is a talented actress who held her own with some of AMC's strongest leading men: John Callahan, Walt Willey, Michael E. Knight, and Michael Nader. The official reason for Rowland's departure was that fans never accepted Kit and Edmund as a couple. More correctly, ABC should have said that fans didn't acccept the IDEA of Kit and Edmund as a couple. We were never given the chance to really see them together, so what was there to accept? I believe that viewers have somehow forgotten how to be fans of a show, and instead are fans of particular actors. Certain fans, for example, only want to see Edmund with Maria, but they seem to have forgotten that Eva LaRue Callahan(ex-Maria) no longer works on AMC. It's time to move on. Sadly, Kit would have been a great place to start.

I thoroughly enjoyed Jerry O'Neal's article in Soap Opera Weekly on All My Children's Paige Rowland. Rowland has been a favorite of mine since she was introduced as the bold yet vulnerable character, Kit Montgomery. She has been matched with some of daytime's finest actors, and more than risen to the challenge with consistently good performances. It is obvious that Paige takes her work seriously and has a strong work ethic and commitment to her acting profession.
